🏕 Our Stay at Sun Outdoors Orange Beach

Our home base for this trip was Sun Outdoors Orange Beach, and it didn’t disappoint. The resort is clean, well-maintained, and packed with family-friendly amenities. We loved the spacious RV sites, the inviting pool area, and the easy access to local attractions.

🚴 The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail

Orange Beach isn’t just about the shoreline — it’s also a paradise for outdoor lovers. We hopped on the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, a network of scenic paths that wind through coastal forests, freshwater marshes, and quiet lakes. It’s a peaceful way to experience the natural beauty of the area and maybe even spot some wildlife along the way. Watch out for snakes!

🌿 Exploring Gulf State Park & Nature Center

Just a short drive away is Gulf State Park, one of our favorite stops on the trip. This massive park offers beaches, campgrounds, trails, and a fantastic Nature Center where you can learn about local wildlife. It’s the perfect mix of education and exploration, especially if you’re traveling with kids.

🐟 Dinner at COASTAL Orange Beach

No beach vacation is complete without great seafood, and COASTAL Orange Beach delivered. With its fresh Gulf catches and gorgeous waterfront setting, it’s one of those restaurants that’s just as much about the view as the food. Highly recommend timing your visit for sunset!
